Depends... Joey riot charges about 400 to knock one out in 2hrs, hence why they sound shit & the same...
Im sure auscore advertised on facebook 50???
Best thing to do is ask them on facebook, they all have different rates. Joey riot churns out shite in an hour for a stupid price so id stay away from him
PS dougal & gammer are starting doin it soon too

How do you know Joey does them in 2 hours? That's crazy!
@ Scotty, i guess every engineer is different, cost wise.
Some charge 100, and i guess it just goes upwards depending on who you want. Who did you have in mind?

Some charge stupid amounts of money some are very reasonable.
Alot of great producers have a hh.com account, search for them and PM them.
Adam Harris, Haze, Jakazid, Shanty & Invader, Milo, Auscore....all these are much more reasonably priced than 400 :o
I couldnt justify spending 400 on a remix, there is no way you would ever get that money back, so its just throwing it away, why guarantee yourself a loss?
Fracus & Darwin may be good guys to ask, not sure what they would charge but you would get a top quality production

Hold on.....
So you have just heard a tune on a film and you want to pay someone like Joey Riot or whoever to make a version of it....thats a bit odd.
I thought you meant you had made a song and you want them to remix it...
Im sorry, but I dont think any producer would just re-make some song off a movie for you, as they wouldnt have midi files or anything....and also, how would you make any money back from that? as its nothing to do with you really...

There's plenty of producers that would engineer the track for him for 150-300quid.
You don't need midi. Most experienced producers can figure out melodies by ear very quickly.

Midi files? Whatever happened to "a good ear is enough?"

Oh, it's quite possible to do in two hours; all you need is any DAW, Nexus, and the VEC collection. Optionally you could also kidnap a random person off the street and force them to do some MCing for you.

Problem with this is....if the producer you ask doesnt like the song then he wont do it.
I really fail to see why you would want to pay 150-300 to a producer to make you a song....do you own a label? cause if not, what is the point? You have just shelled out a couple hundred quid for a track that isnt guaranteed to be signed by a label.
I just dont see the point of it

I think he just wants a hardcore version. That's it.
A full time producer will do it whether he likes the track or not.
