20 years of hardcore - The Real Evolution
i've been toying with the idea of sorting out a mix of 20 hardcore tracks, call it a HHC project if you like, so also up for volunteers to mix it
it would be the best tune from each year from 1991 running in order to 2010
(the reason im starting at 1991 is 'rave' as such wasn't established properly till 1991)
i got my own ideas but they are 'my' favorites....... so......
what tunes from each of these years would you like to see on this mix? i might have over looked some stompers
year of release will be helpful when posting :) thanks

with so many years & so many tracks we are gonna have to make a thread for each year, if we do one a week to find the best track of that particular year we might be done by the end of june so we can include 2010 lol
this is the first step of what will prob be a very long process if all goes well.

This is most likley one of the oldest 'Hardcore' tunes you will hear; Rythem Device - Acid Rock from 1989. Might have not been called Hardcore then but is said to be a forerunner of today's Hardcore. This was from Belgium which put out many early Hrdcore tunes that shaped the very early days of rave!
so if you dont know the release date it's not a biggy, but what we dont want is a massive list of your favourite tunes & most being from the same year so please feel free to use discogs to check for release dates

This tune goes back to 1990 although there where also other versions from 1991. A real; classic and most likley one of the first tunes to use the infamous organ rift as a harder edge. Slightly breakbeat as well. This was the very forfront of the then new Hardcore Rave scene that has still not been forgotten. It is also from Belgium again and they had many such tunes that shaped the way Hardcore would become over the next few years!

1992 was my favourite year for hardcore everyone knows my obsession with Acen but this track always gave me goosebumps when i heard it 91

20 years...when you think about it, that's still fairly new for a style of music. I mean, look how old rock, country, and pop are!
