It's for class, wish I didn't have to take a year of Math before the classes I actually want to take but I have too. So I had to make a survey, ask people, make a graph, etc. So to just add a few more results I figured I would ask on here!
So:
What OS(s) (Operating System(s)) are you using? Do you dual-boot? What browser(s) do you use the most frequent? Did you buy a prebuilt computer, or build your own? (To the last question) Why?
Thanks to anyone who can answer for me! I don't need ALL the answers, but it'd be welcome.
~~
Example:
~~
Operating System(s):
Windows 7 (64-bit)
Ubuntu 9.10 (64-Bit)
Ubuntu 8.04 Server Edition
Dual-Boot:
Yes on computer for personal needs and reasons (gaming on 7 and school work, rest on Ubuntu).
Browser(s):
Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera (From most used to least).
Prebuilt, or build your own:
Built my own computer and back up server.
(To last question) Why?:
Well building my own computer is more fun, and more fulfilling to know I built the computer I'm using. Plus I made a more powerful computer for less, which is always better. Built my own server too that isn't connected to the internet and is just used to back up and test things.

What OS(s) (Operating System(s)) are you using?
-Vista
Do you dual-boot?
-Nay
What browser(s) do you use the most frequent?
-Firefox
Did you buy a prebuilt computer, or build your own?
-Prebuilt laptop
(To the last question) Why?
-Never really built a laptop. I've built desktops, and would like to get one, but I'm too lazy to build it myself these days. I would pick parts and have it built before shipping though, so it's almost like building it myself, only I don't have to to the work. Sorry for the long reply on this one.

Windows xp service pack 3 or 4 i think
what's dual boot?
firefox
prebuilt Dell- mainly because it is easier. altho building your own is cheaper, i have seen from my friends is that they don't last longer. some have just flat out crashed after a couple years b/c maybe the brands aren't compatible with each other? who knows. in any case my prebuilt is over 7yrs old and if/when i get another desktop i plan on getting another prebuilt

Dual-Boot is when you have two or more operating systems installed on your computer, and you can readily access either of the OS's by restarting.
And building your own computer is extremely easy, as it's ALL just literally screw in and put on the motherboard. You just have to make sure your parts match (i.e. your AM3 CPU has a AM3 compatible Motherboard), which any trust worthy sites/stores will give these details to you.

Currently using Windows XP (no other OS, although my motherboard has a tiny linux on it, which i can boot in ~10 seconds from startup. Dont know if that makes it dual boot), browser is Opera. I've built the computer myself because its cheaper and i get what i want.

OS: Vista (on both)
Dual Boot: No
Browser: IE7 (and occasionally firefox for testing purposes)
PC is custom (by myself) laptop pre-made (by acer)
pc-customness is cheaper (better bang for ones buck) + more fun.
laptop was acer, ive never tried to build a laptop - ive only ever really replaced screens/components and such - but it had good specs, was good price!

What OS(s) (Operating System(s)) are you using?
Windows Vista (laptop), Windows 7 (main desktop), Windows XP (Secondary desktop)
Do you dual-boot?
Nope, never needed to or particularly want to
What browser(s) do you use the most frequent?
Firefox
Did you buy a prebuilt computer, or build your own? (To the last question) Why?
My secondary desktop was prebuilt, although I did make changes to it.
My laptop again prebuilt, but I did add more RAM
Main desktop, built from scratch
Why?
Well I wasn't very computer smart at the time of buying a prebuilt computer, but although a fairly powerful machine it doesn't do what I would like it to do.
My main desktop I built so it does what I'd like it to do, I can play a lot of new games on this without any or much trouble.

They probably OC their hardware, which would burn out anything going more powerful then what it's built to last through. And was a little surprised it took that many posts for an Apple computer, doesn't surprise me with so many laptops though.
