Can't frigging wait gona be awesome me and me mate going to new york in june and staying with his sister in long island,always wanted to go to america and especially new york and its happening in 3 months time,gonna be awesome

i lived there for 5 years and would move back there in a heartbeat if i could!
never went to new york though, i lived in Illinois, visited most of the surrounding states which didnt seem too much different from IL and then spent holidays in nevada (vegas!) and florida.
if i had to nail it on the head i think its the people i missed, and miss the most.

nice one mate, always good to get out of N.Ireland. I'm moving to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne myself in august all being well :D although more to do with the other half lol
Triq why'd you come back from america? i remember when u had just moved out there too lol

its a long story, but basically i had.. perhaps... over-stayed my welcome over there
that and was dragged back by my current wife (who is british) - we have a son now who is just over a year old! soon to be getting his first set of decks ;)

Cheers tommy,but its not for good but to get away for a while will be great especially since i've always wanted to go to new york and if i really like i can always go back to live
hope u enjoy newcastle i've been there before on a stag do and pretty good city and 1 of me mates lived in a town outside newcastle but he always used to go their and he says it wicked

aye man i love it there, will be living in North Shields like, wee bit outside the toon :) only an hour away on the plane as well if for some strange reason i miss NI lol

I live a few hours away from New York City, and it's always just as fun as the last time (I go there about once a month).
Any ideas of what you're gonna do? I always love going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). They have a Tim Burton exhibit there which I'm gonna see when I go down on the 27th if it's still up :D.
I plan on living there and going to one of the art schools when I get out of high school :]
You'll have a good time just being in New York :D

congrats on your visa!
if you get a chance visit some other parts of the country like the west coast, or as far down as TX just to get a feel of the different aspects of the US

Cheers for the replys and to be honest i'm not sure what i'm gona do,well theres the obvious thinks like statue of liberty,ground zero,empire state building and all the other sites but as to wether leaving new york state i don't know,me and me mate both know a gut who goes to uni over in america and he goes out with an american girl and they happened to be in ireland over christmas and they were telling us to come down to stay with them fr a few days in a beach house r something but don't know if its going to happen as havn't heard any thing since,plus they live states away in cali r some were down the east coast way below new york
