Apprently Junkbox tracks are going to be released on itunes next week.
About time too! Finally, more artists are getting the message and releasing Hardcore MP3's on iTunes and trackitdown.
Maybe one day I can actually buy every new hardcore track I want via MP3 (I can only dream)...

I really don't know why more hardcore artists put their songs on iTunes.. Michael Mansion, K12 Studios and now Junkbox have all signed up. Surely the best way to gain a greater reach and fan base is to use arguable one of the world's biggest legal mp3 stores??

Personally, I think selling through iTunes is a big mistake. They have a habit of not paying the artists much, if anything at all.
But it's Junkbox so it probably doesn't matter.

I tried to give this label a fair try, but all the songs that's on TrackItDown is totally wank... Same with Future World to be honest.
Well. Since it's Around the World that takes care of the handling (on trackitdown atleast), they'll prop take the big bucks (if any). A few years ago I wouldn't want to use iTunes for buying music, but now that they finally have added ALBUMS to the search results, it's getting more worthwhile to browse throu.

I think iTunes is great for Hardcore. Hell, every holiday I get stuck with iTunes gift cards, and I'm glad I had K12 and Quosh to at least chose from. I also enjoyed paying 99 cents instead of shelling out 1.49 or so in British Pounds. That exchange rate always kills me. >.>
As for iTunes not paying artists, I have no say or evidence on that.

every company runs differently and iTunes works best for those artists that have the most name recognition, and in hardcore only a select few like DS have it. and beatport is one of the worst b/c from what i remember you have to pay a monthly fee to actually have your tracks on the site, and if you don't sell enough tracks a month you pretty much don't break even and end up losing $
but yea even tho i hate iPods & iTunes, it would be more convenient and a big money saver if there was more hardcore on there. money is tight right now and i have to determine whether i can or can't live w/o a track b4 i decide to buy it.

It definitely happened to Benn Jordan, if you check this out: http://www.rlslog.net/the-flashbulb-promotes-piracy/ but like I said, it's Junkbox so it wouldn't matter, big name/big label. I just don't like how iTunes operates, though there are benefits for some to reach a larger audience, but.. "Now you can buy all your songs in DRM-free format for 30 cents per song!" :I Yeah.
