A friend of mine and I are contemplating trying to promote in the Chicago area next year, mostly my own parties around my campus, starting with one in the campus bar (the Bog) sometime in the fall. We're on the south side of the loop, at Illinois Institute of Technology. Would anyone in the general Chicago area be interested in coming if I tried to do this regularly? They would be small, (probably) free events at whatever place I could find to hold them. Might even be able to convince Leto to play since I don't expect he gets to play hardcore much in Chicago, but we'll see where it takes us.

if your college has an armory, that's a great place to throw a party.
I'm not quiet in the chicago area but I'd be interested, would have to know a bit in advance though.

Lol an armory? I'm not sure we have the same definition of such a place...

yeah an armory =P where the rotc would meet?
purdue has a nice one that was great. was large enough for two rooms of sound, we set up old video game consoles with old crt's, had decent turn outs too.
we had dj bezerker from the ruffneck playaz crew out for one party. was funny because a girl came up to him afterwards and told him "you're a really good dj, but your music sucks" =P

IIT!!! Yeah dude, I'm at UChicago so I'm not far. Let me know when you come up with something. I won't be here over the summer, but yeah next fall.
