Well crap. I wasn't expecting it to be THAT draconian.
What instruments do you have anyway?

Sylenth 1 was the problem last time but I had heaps of others that I'm worried will have similar problems.
This is the image by the way if it's still of use -
Currently looking for a replacement for partition magic!

Well looks like conditions are right! The process would involve deleting D: and E:, and then expanding C: to fill that added space. It's still your call though in regards to what I've suggested (which may involve biting the bullet and have to re-register a VSTi or two).

OK cheers mate, I guess it may have to be done. I've been sticking things in the other partitions in general but as windows and all the other stuff on C: updates the space is slowly slipping away. Or will these things detect other partitions and start to use that space? Not really sure how it works as I've never had partitions prior to this comp.
I presume once I've expanded C: into the available space I can then just add the partitions again?

Duplicate C: to G:, change booting HDD and voila. If it doesnt work, you can always go back by changing the booting HDD back to the old one. Not sure how its done on Windows though, always did it with Partition Magic (the copying that is, you cant just copy/paste it. You have to make a clone).
Or is it an external HDD? Since its FAT32...

Windows can't and won't intrude into other partitions, it'll just whine at you that space is getting low. :p As for space slipping away, you can always run Disk Cleanup as admin and have it clear out all but the most recent restore point, as these take up more space than you'd think.

You mean recreate the D: and E: partitions? No, since there won't be any space left.

There's no way that isn't an external drive (judging by the name it's almost certainly this).

Alright, thanks for the info guys. Sounding like I'll be stuck with one partition then yeah? Not too much of a problem I guess. Will try the disk cleanup thing though, nice one. Yeah G: is an external HD.

Quick temp cure, cleanup C, turn off hibernation and decrease virtual memory used on HDD.
For me those files (hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys) reserve 5Gb of disk space of C. And i'm using XP.
