With proxy, your traffic goes through a server that has log files. On Tor the traffic goes encrypted through various servers and the servers in the middle dont know what their sending and where. So if you can hijack any server inbetween you still wouldnt know what it is and where its going.
But as i said its used to post sensitive information. So anyone visiting this site using Tor, you can be 99,9% sure its a troll.
