Who's a fan? It's the only tv show my girlfriend watches, I've never seen it before but decided to give it a go.
She's got all the previous seasons and I'm going through number two now. Just watched the episode with the french mistress from 18th century, quite a depressing ending...
The brits make some damn good tv, i'll give them that.

It is an incredibly good tv show i think, although not ass good as the good old day ones...
Lilley, might have to come watch them with you ;-) I'll bring some booze! Its gone 10, drinking time! :D

its the only good show the BBC make.
and it just got better because the writer of all the good episodes has become the main writer
and theres that new redhead assistant :D

yh docter who can be good a bit hit and miss for me but i was right span out when i saw that mike skinner from the streets on it a few weeks ago lol wtf is he doing there

You know, it's funny. I was thinking recently of starting up a thread about a number of American TV shows. My opening line was going to be "The British are incapable of making anything good whatsoever, but the yanks......."
Doctor Who. Could never ever really get into it. I watched this year's Christmas special and I honestly thought it was some kind of joke episode. I just really struggled with it. I know that view isn't going to go down very well with you lot.
That said, Triquatra raises a fine point. I have seen clips of the new red-head assistant and she is just splendid.

This show is pure awfulness, I don't get why so many people like it. The acting, production, editing, effects and the writing are all mediocre. I'm happy I don't have to pay the TV license to put money towards the BBC making stuff like this.
On a related note, the BBC used to do some some classic Sci-Fi, nowadays it is all watered down crap for the audience. Red Dwarf used to be amazing, but they totally ruined it with the last outing. Survivors (remake) was alright in the first season, but the second season just failed.
