I am in dire need of some help with my internet, it seems like only happyhardcore.com and google work... which suggests it's a problem with the DNS server i'm using (which was the google 8.8.8.8 malarkey). I've found a few different DNS servers which allow me to do basically nothing other than google which is absolutely no use as i'm sure you can imagine. If anyone can help me find a DNS server which ACTUALLY works or identify the real problem not only will I be able to actually attempt to pass my a-levels but i'll also be able to send about 1,000 loving emails daily to the person who fixed it.
tl;dr Fix my internet and I will love you long time

I use 4.2.2.2 as my primary DNS and 4.2.2.3 as my secondary. I've personally never had any problems with it.
Also, who is your ISP? (Please don't say Orange)
And is your IP static or dynamic?
I've always had problems with dynamic IP addresses, much like the ones you described.
Also, how long has this been happening?
You could've went over your download limit and they put you dial-up speed. My ISP does it to me all the time and it really pisses me off.

That's right, hellokitty.com, and don't act like you don't want one too.

I've managed to fix it now, cheers for helping though. One of my nobhead friends changed my connection from ppoa to ppoe (or whatever the ridiculously large acronyms are) so i've just switched it back..
I am rather concerned about you hoping my isp wasn't Orange, it is, is there something i'm missing?

Good to see it got fixed.
It's not that you're missing anything it's just that well, Orange suck really really bad, the LiveBox is truly awful. I keep on dropping connection with them. My LiveBox wouldn't allow me to connect devices wirelessly without making my IP static, nor would I be able to download at a high speed (even then the high speed is laughable) and I personally have had nothing but problems with the the service and the LiveBox.
The service has improved over the past 2-3 months but it's still awful.
