I sure as hell wish i was making hardcore to make money instead of my own job
You'd probably struggle to survive. I'm pretty sure most producers, other than the likes of Styles, have other sources of income as well as Hardcore.

Looking back to when there was little money to be made in Hip Hop and the quality of that stuff; you're probably right there.
All the top tier are bound to be raking it in,mixing comps and playing numerous events every week, that adds up to alot of money in my eyes

Ah but that's DJing, not producing. Either way they're not exactly gonna be making yaught in the south of France kind of money. Maybe Caravan in North Wales cash.

Well it depends who you mean. Hixxy for example would be a millionaire.

But that would be down to the business side of things no doubt.

True, cause as you say they would struggle to make a good living on production alone but with all the gigs and cds they mix their sweet,as i can actually remember brisk saying the same thing a few years ago thats how they make a good living mixing cds and doing gigs, and he said 9000 or 10,000 units was the bigest record they'd sold from ng and bb and it was the brisk and ham mixes of shooting star

"But who knows, maybe it was on purpose to make the production crap ;) To make it sound even worse and to symbolise Darren Styles not-so-creative production.
Yeah I think Jon Doe/CLSM really hates him! haha
I've read that quite some times now already.
But I'm wondering why he put Darren Style's remix of that one song (can't remember it's name) in the Timebomb: Definition of UK Hardcore Mix, if he really doesn't like him... "
Where ever have you read that I hate Darren Styles? There is nothing to hate about the guy, he never gets involved in the politics, he writes his tunes and goes to his gigs.
Loads of people chase his lyric writing and output which has long since clogged up hardcore till it died in March.
Also, musical choice for me as a Dj has nothing to do with what the person is about. I have actually seldom met Darren in person and aside from once last year, I think it was around 2004/5 when I was talking to him about ear plugs and the next time around then was when he first played with ear plugs in at Raindance SEOne.
