For a college project where I'm building a music timeline.
Smart-E's will certainly feature in this timeline.

From having a quick flick I've found:
Jimmy - 1947
Bob - 1955
Pretty sure the date for Jimmy is 100% correct but not really sure about Bob.

People have dismissed Saviles claims, though. I know he started the first club in 1943, but 'A DJ Saved my life (book)' claims that it was Bob who had the innovation. I'm in a pickle lol. Meh, I'll credit both!
