Hi ive been searching an old skool Dougal tape i grew up listening to. Ive been searching for years and was woundering if any body on this forum could help.
I noticed the track i.d request section but im more after a set.
I was ment to believe it was Dougal at dreamscape 20 but have the set and its not the correct one.
The set im looking for was 2 sided, Dougal was on one side and i believe Sy or Hixxy maybe even slipmatt on the other. It would be around 1992-1996 sort of time. There was an Mc and some of the tracks played on the tape was in no order:
Demo - You're Mine
Discoland
Dune - Million Miles From Home
Eye Opener (original) - Dj Brisk & Trixxy
Feeling Fine
Ham,Demo & Time - Here I Am
Mars & Mystre - Outa Space
Shooting Star Original
Triple J - Have It All
Visa - Don't Go Away
I realy hope someone can help as this is my last attempt at finding it and it would be so nice to have something to remind me of the good old days :)

Sorry can't name the set your after but it has to be older than 1996 as some of those tracks are from 1997-1998

Thanks, it was a ruff guess with the dates, i think you are right. I was hopeing maybe an oldskool member might recongnise the set through some of the songs mentioned.
Realy would love to hear this set again...

Judging from the track list that would be late 97-98, also it looks like it could be a Hixxy mix as he was playing those tunes at the time (not sure if anyone else was playing Dune tunes), and yes so were lot's of other people, but i mean in the same set.
I can rule out it being Hixxy's Dreamscape 25, 27 and 28 mixes. But that is of course assuming it is a Hixxy mix, who knows! Your much more likely to get a positive response on ush.net, I'm pretty certain someone there will be able to help.

ive been through most dreamscape sets to still not find it. All i no for sure is it was Dougal and there was an mc and they was some of the songs used on the set. I will try your link ush.net. Thanx mate

Without meaning to sound rude, do you realise how many sets there are out there. I can't see you having much luck. You don't have a tracklist which makes it even harder. I know you have a list of choons but you said they're in no order.
I'll have a look for you but i can't promise anything. Are you definitely sure at least one side was Dougal?
Around 97 time Dougal wasn't playing many of the choons your after. He was playing choons like Tranquility, My Way, Follow Me, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, Gotta Go. These appear on most of his sets from that time.
As said by Hard2Get i know that Hixxy used to play the odd Dune choon now & then. Also the odd Drum & Bass choon thrown in too. Do you remember if any D&B was played in your set?

Well anyone who owned the tape would instantly know, and if it's a big even then a lot of people are going to own it. There is only a limited amount of sets it could be from a big name at a big event, i don't think he will have any trouble finding what it is as long as he asks on ush.net. Obviously there is no hope asking here.

I've just had a quick flick through all the Dreamscape & Helter Skelter sets by Dougal & then Hixxy from 97. Can't find it. I will keep searching though. I'll try Fusion, United Dance & Hysteria now. More of the choons your after do appear more on Hixxy sets. Maybe your set was a Dougal & Hixxy B2B?

If any1 has a Dougal set with those tracks mentioned please let me no, it shouldnt be hard for a real old skool hardcore raver to point out ive mentioned most tracks used on the tape!

Your joking right? It's more than hard. I've been through all my Dougal sets & all my Dougal B2B ??? & i've had no luck. I can find sets with some of the choons from your list on but that's it. I can try Hixxy sets if you want me too.
Does the set contain all those choons yeah?

Bro i think you took my last comment the wrong way, I see u have tryed to find it and i thank you so much dont worry about lookin through your Hixxy sets it was deffo a dougal set just wish i knew what mc it was to make it alittle easyier.
Il keep checkin back if i have any look i will let uno i will even post the set up. I had some good news the other day my friend says he has the tape (blank recordin) so lets hope he digs it out for me

With the selection of tracks you're saying where in the set you'd be looking at Dreamscape 24/25 onwards. I'd say around 26-30 because they where late 97' and late 98' respectively.
Dougal didn't play at Dreamscape 25 or 27 so I'd say try and look for 26, 29 (that's my educated guess) and 30. That is if it's definitely Dreamscape. Dreamscape 29 was A Decade in Dance so maybe that's why he was playing tracks that he might not normally play, I'm just guessing here by the way.
