I agree "organic" elements can sound amazing in dance music. What is fail though is emulated real instruments IE Guitars sound terrible when using a rompler or something similar. Remember kids; Real Strat isn't a real Strat.

Your right it sounds absolutely awful. Although on *some* occasions artists have got away with using acoustic guitar emulations from the likes of the M1, but only single note plucks and only because it's been done so much over the years that it's become an acceptable sound to use and because the riffs don't try to emulate a guitar one. However ones that do, yeah, indescribable fail lol. I always think 'why fail so badly at trying to sound like something and no matter how hard you try will never be the same, when you can just stick to electronic sounds and sound good, the way it's meant to sound'.

I like that track wilky, but it just seems to be lacking ... something, that could make it so much better. Can't put a finger to it though. That kinda of 'ah' sample sounds really familiar as though I should be remembering it from another Hard trance/trance track. Gah.
Edit: got it - if the notes were more distinct from each other and less 'smooth' and so obviously electronic - that sort of rushy sound, almost like wind blowing past. Just the type of pad they are using is getting to me I guess.

And continues to be till this day. A certain member of this bored is one the main culprits :p
