So, there was this rave at the San Francisco Cow Palace. Just so happens that some poor guy overdosed on E and died. 11 other people are in the hospital and are in "Critical Condition" (As reported by my local news)

First they said it was a cause of "tainted drugs" now is leaning towards the usual "Overdose".

Also 21 people were arrested for having possession of drugs at said rave.

Anyways, what I am trying to get at is that Most of us know how anal California can be when it comes to laws. Now that this incident has happened, do you think it could cause a ban on Raves in the Bay Area or even California?

A crazy homeless guy predicted my rebirth. Sometimes I wonder if he was really crazy, or if he truly was a prophet. But, then I saw the crack fall out of his pocket :/

I doubt it.

11 people in hospital? sounds like a bad batch. A similar thing happened in sydney and the promoter actually stopped precedings to say if you have taken xxxx please go see a paramedic right now.

I'm guessing the weather was hot as hell and they were dancing like mad? 11 people in hospital doesn't sound that extreme to me, if they're not educated about ecstasy they could easily all be overheating.

LOL, pretty much everyone then!

As for overdosing, yes, there is no way 11 people would have just happened to overdose at the same time. It would be very hard to overdose on it anyway given the low amount of MDMA in pills etc. Either a bad batch or overheating as jenks said, seems more likely that it would be a bad batch. And of course they would love to say that they now think it was due to overdosing as that would suit them just fine and further perpetuate the ******** information surrounding drugs. They probably have no idea one way or the other why those people were hospitalised.

I also find it amusing that raves are so few and unprofitable over there that such an incident could get them banned. I mean night all clubs wouldn't close down just because someone got stabbed would they? That's how little sense it makes.
