did someone forget to change your diapers again? :)
The makina I'm familiar with (especially the 99-03 stuff), does not have any resemblence with this track. read my earlier post ffs.

quote:Wouldn#'t suprise me if one of these 'Superstar DJs' has a go at it using Lisa Abbot (or whoever else) as the vocalist & structure it in the same was as the standard Basshunter/ Cascada tune or if it is a 'Hardcore' mix it will be consisting of a trance rift and bassline. Everyone will remix it and you will hear it on the next few clublands. No credit will be given to the original because 'times have changed' and it seems that no one is aloud to make real music anymore
Ouch! Talk about blunt! :P
As much as I like Lisa Abbot and love the modern tracks she's been in, I can't help but agree classics should be left as-is. Power of Dreams 2010 was such a shame to hear. The more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that loads of bands out now choose to play music in classic rock style and become extremely popular, there's nothing stopping anyone from making songs in 2010 with the old '95-96 etc. sound, we just need some DJs to go out there and play them!

I hear some stuff on the radio that could be passed as rather 80s. Good music is good music. You can't turn you back on good sounds just because times change. Im always downloading Old Skool sets and find tunes I hadn't heard before. The tunes might be from the past but to me they are new!

Haha that's the ultimate response, I have to admit that your return has lead to me actually wanting to visit this forum now after neglecting them for AGES.
Oh dear, that's one of the gayest things i've ever written.

Totally man, I couldn't agree more! Blame the Moon by Splash! Was released in 2007 I believe but that could have had me totally fooled for a '97 track! Who says you can't still produce the old sounds. It's only old because we made it 'old' ;)
If you're into anything or hear about anything to do with seriously bringing back the old skool sound or something to that nature let me know man because would love to get stuck in & involved in any way I can, much like a bunch of others in this thread would!

I guarantee that anyone could go back in time and "erase" certain key tracks from rave history, then join a current discussion where people blather on about "it being much better" before.... before finally proceeding to paste a youtube link of that *exact* now unheard ex-rave-anthem and witness it being vicously slated by the very people who before would have stripped naked and danced around it simply through era and association.

That sums up a huge proportion of the people on here.
I have to admit though, I enjoy songs much more when I find out they were part of 'a more interesting period in time' or had 'political significance' some time ago. I think that's all part of enjoying music though, just getting sucked into the general mood of the song and imagining you're at that 1991 808state gig at the g-mex or you're at castle donnington. Enjoying music because of the historical significance shouldn't be frowned upon so much I think. After all, It's still enjoying music isn't it.
