When I was smoking pot, music made me feel sick. I'm afraid that's all I can contribute to the discussion

Another possibility is that they sounded so much better at the time than with sober ears that when you hear them now they sound very different. I can't think of any logical reason why you would hear something that never existed whether or not your under the influence of drugs, it's not like you took a psychedelic.
I belive this to be possible and need to hear these tunes again. Is it possible to unlock past memories?

things you've forgotten yes, all sorts can trigger a memory you forgot (sights, smells, sounds) - but i doubt you will remember anything between 0yrs - 1yrs dont think babies have developed the processing power and HDD space at that point.

at best, when i've been properly off my face memories of it are quite hazy and I can never seem to put everything perfectly together. After one rave in particular over the next while listening to various tracks and mixes I would recognise certain songs but never be able to place them and always just put them in the "at transmission" category

It was quite possibly the one rave I have looked forward to most of all, had an epic line up and I have a five hour memory gap from 12 till 5. Missing Kamui, Bas & Ram, JTB and Chuck E, The Pitcher and Noisecontrollers from when they were good. Very annoyed.
If you really want to hear those tracks again, it may help to try under the same state of mind.
