find a drill bit that is exactly the size, or even one that's a bit smaller would work too i'd think.

i have heard about people shaving off the inside of the inside of the hole with a scalpel until it's the proper size.

also, if the hole is too big you can always throw some masking tape over it, cut a + sign in the tape and fold the pieces into the hole.

hope that helps. oh, and i don't get the joke you are trying to make here. o well

don't use a drill! if you're off a bit you can screw the vinyl up and cause it to wobble on the platter.

just keep putting it on and taking it off the spindle. you can also work the vinyl back and forth on the spindle with your hand as if you were scratching with it to loosen it up.

if you can find someone with a pair of vestax tables they have the largest spindle and will enlarge it faster.

c'mon guys! I know there has to be better stuff then this. I dont want to go running around for a drill or some other dudes turntables just to get the hole bigger.

Cant I just push a pencil or a pen trough there and wiggle it around?

BTW, does the hole in a vinyl have a specific name?

its special area?

joking. i was also thinking something with sandpaper on it, like a pen or something.

you ultimately have to wear away some if it so you're going to have to get a bit aggressive with it.

Get a flathead screwdriver and gradually poke it in the hole... it's mpossible to escape inuendo lol... and turn it slowly. This is usually what i have to do when buying Scott Brown / Evolution records.

it's a spindle hole. unless you want to risk affecting the pitch, I'd suggest sticking with what I recommended

in the past ive just used a pair scissors - just lightly rest the closed blades inside the spindle and gently give it a twist - ensures an almost perfect circle - dont PUSH the scissors through though - let gravity do that work, only give it one or two turns, then test - repeat until the fit is just right

The pen method always worked for me - usually a biro. Just don't force it or move it around too much

Would it be inappropriate if I suggested sandpaper around your penis and having a good time with it? ;)

And it's not exactly difficult either.

This but use a phillips head and a tiny bit of sand/glass paper wrapped around it. Works a treat.
