Personally from experience, I'd go to a clothing shop and buy.

I tried that a few times. Im not creative enough with clothing to customize my own clothes to look 150 years old.
Still think that stuff is cool though.
However, not the picture.

Mark Ecko has some pretty nice stuff
http://www.shopecko.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=2846009 it's stuff that is in style but without being classified as douchebagwear. and it's not too expensive. and they even will have some stuff in bright colors which would be perfect for raves. they might have a Mark Ecko Cut & Sew shop in ur area it's worth checking out

Yeah cloths shopping online is the only type i won't do online, it's an absolute disaster. For a start you can't really see what the item looks like, and so many other things.

I understand what you are saying, trust me.
But stores always have 'boring' clothing. you can find a lot of stuff online that you'll never see in a store.

Oh no no no.
Not me at all friend. I shop at Hot Topic and Spencers. I'm also heavy into video games so I also shop at Splitreason.com
Now just becuase I get clothes at hot topic and such doesn't mean im a 'dark' person. I shop there because they occasionally have some unique clothing. I grew out of my 'dark' self for the most part.

Most of my cloth shopping is done online, i get stressed out when real shopping (too many people, small spaces, can't find anything good, the chav-filled bus ride to and from shopping centres). Places i shop;
Topman
River Island
ASOS
New Look

Hot Topic isn't a place for 'dark' ppl. it's all just pretty borderline gay now.
