I finally got round to signing up for an XBox Live account yesterday but for some reson (most likely my stupidity) I ended up with a new profile instead of my current offline one. Is there a way i can move/transfer my profile and all my hard earned achievements etc to the new one or link the 2 in some way?

And if that line doesn't work, you can wait for the new account to die. I mean, if you started it with the free month then you don't lose anything, but if you started it with a 3- or 12-month card then I guess you're screwed.
If the other account dies just select your Offline One and upgrade.

Done the exact same thing just under a month ago & still waitin for this one to run out so your not alone in your stupidity. Saying that, me being hammered didn't help much!
I'm afraid you'll have to wait the month out dude then just renew on the right profile. I just hope to GOD u aint bought a year

Haha! No, just signed up for the month so no real harm done.
I'll be more careful next time!
Cheers lads :-)

Lucky it worked itself out for you. When I 1st got my Xbox I used an offline account for 2 weeks before I got a router. Then I made an online account and it wiped all my saved games. I called Microsoft and they said "that's strange, it shouldn't happen" but were unable to help me.
After speaking to the tech they couldn't fix it, and didn't seem to want to do anything about it. I ended up speaking with a manager and after saying to him "I put 40 hours work into those saved games, how would you like to go to work for a week and not get paid?" they agreed to give me a free game for my trouble.
