LOL, your joking right? :P
I love it *because* it's aggressive, something you just don't get with UK Hardcore. I don't see it as remotely angry though, lol. Plus the tune linked is fairly 'Happy' as Dutch stuff goes.

Ahhhh!! That music really doesn't do it for me, I would clear off the dancefloor if that got played just like I do when a DJ drops gabber >__< no disrespect but it is far too harsh and dark for me. Charlie lownoise & mental theo, technohead and paul elstak (and you all know which tunes I mean for those 3) are the only dutch hardcore I know of that I can tolerate. Maybe some party animals too?
It's a bit like I'm not that much of a fan of freeform because it's a dark, cold feeling a bit like trance, however at the right time it can really take things to a whole new level and make you RUSH so I don't mind it occassionally =) Alot of modern UK hardcore at the moment doesn't do it for me because it's too dark and hard, I'm not really a fan of that sound!

That's understandable,I remember going to a rave and they played something similar, and people started pushing people. I was petrified, like It went from being happy to being evil. People got this bad bone in them and acted crazy! I love the sound, but there is a time and place to listen to it. I will never forget that insane day! :(
anywhos,
being in love does suck! lol

Sure does.
On topic (kind of); the reason I like gabber (I like that name for it, 3.14 ;)), is because it's aggressive, also. Personally I prefer the new school synth kicks over the old distorted 808/909, because they allow more brutality/wickedness (not saying the tracks below are good examples, they're just a few I like), but that's a personal preference, of course.

Gabber/Dutch Hardcore really is an aquired taste NekoShuffle & can take a bit of getting used to but IMO you'll eventually realise why other people find it so appealing & when the DJ drops the gabber you'll be bouncing like a demon.

What is it that's appealing about it? because a lot of ppl say that it's because it's hard but thats exactly what I don't like!!
