It seems to be possible for tunes to create two emotions, being happy and sad at the same time. Indeed I have felt this with a number of tunes.
Reminds me of school. This tune always touches a nerve in me!
Yer I know this is 'Donk' but this is a good tune all the same! Reminds me of the early 2000s
This has to be one of Scott Brown's finest works from the 2000s! I would be happy to hear this at a rave.
Always a favorite of mine and a good remix of two Scott Brown classics from 1996!

They make me 'sad' not because they are depressing but because they remind me of past time. It's hard to explain. Its not like a depressive love song you here on the radio or the Titanic song. These tunes touch a nerve.
And good on you for trying to bag a woman you work with (so you got your job back?) I have been single for two weeks and love it lol

Scott Brown as Interstate - Lost Generation
I really do love this song and it really speaks to me, the tune is happy and has a kind of 'nighttime' feel to it IMO. But it reminds me of the true kandy kids and ravers of america who weren't just the fashionable youth of today like they are now but were actually like a generation of young adults who were very lost in what they were doing and pretty much followed the rave because they didn't have much of a place in society. Reminds me a bit of what Simon and Garfunkel used to sing about in the...60s was it?
That's the only Happy & Sad track I can think of. Now onto the sad ones!
Arkitech - Shadow of a Memory, once again, gives me that 'lost' feeling. A bit like being at a rave approaching 6-7am when the floor is starting to empty and all that close unity you felt in the heat of the night begins to fade away, lights start coming on etc. :( Worst feeling ever!
Really...there were so many sad tracks on the last 2 Happy 2B Hardcore CDs, it's as if you could feel Frolic losing faith in hardcore. Especially Heaven's Above (Heard this sung live by Carmen herself not long ago. RIP Lee) also the Justin Time remix of Pleasure and Pain is a bit sad too!

I'm completely with you there mate, It's like a song becomes the theme to a particular event. For me certain songs always trigger certain memories. The reminiscing is particularly sadder the better the event was.
One More Time is one for me.
So is Flame Trees by Cold Chisel
and
And Metallica's Unforgiven.
