It would be wrong to say that drugs are in any way good, but you can be sure that what the media tells you is nothing but lies to manipulate you. In fact, that's true for anything the media says for just about anything.

I used to smoke weed every day for a few years but then my head got totally fried and i quit,now its just the drink for me

Ignorance is just that. It's not necessarily your fault. I was spoon-fed drug propaganda from every source i had available growing up; my dad mainly as well as news and my RE teacher (who doubled as a sexual health and drug teacher) - though i was fortunate the latter knew it was bollocks. My Cannabis joke is based on very real newspaper stories. Stories of Phsycosis, Skunk and violent attacks. All of course utter bollocks. First of all Skunk is a strain of Cannabis, it's no more harmful than any other strain. Sure it's a strong strain but it's not going to send you loopy off a few spliffs, more likely send you into fits of hysterical laughter and force you to empty your cupboards of all pot noodles and cookies.
You may not be the drugs type and i wouldn't pressure you into trying them, that would be wrong, but what i will say is provided you do a little research and know what it is you're taking drugs really aren't that bad.

Agreed. I used to be all like "drugs are horrible, why do people need them, what a load of crap. Drinking is fine though"
Standing on the other side of the looking glass I realise how the side I was on had a really clouded judgement on drugs which was influenced by a combination of misinformation and just general media pressure.
I don't trust the media at all, particularly the BBC. When Acid House hit the charts they were the first people to ban Everything Starts with an E by E-Zee-Posse and frown upon rave culture, and now I listen to kutski on radio one and I hear the BBC radio samples saying things like "Keeping the rave alive!" "Rave on!". Forget them, don't ever listen to what they have to say and if you do then take it with a grain of salt.

^^^ E is the best drug though and funny how it is so s'afe' comepared to other drugs because of the lack of dependency.
But you never kinow what you get in it though, I know someone who ended up in hospital after two 'Doves' & a lot of coke but in the past has taken loads of drugs with no problems. It can happen to anyone really!
