For those of you who don't know, MM (Majora's Mask) is the 2nd Legend of Zelda game that was released on Nintendo64. It is probably the most controversial game of the Legend of Zelda series due to the fact that the gameplay is much different than previous and later Zelda series games, and also people seem to either love it or hate it, with very few feeling in between.
Now onto the topic. I saw this post on my friend's fb page containing a youtube vid on MM and I had to watch it. It was pretty disturbing to say the least. What I was watching is gameplay footage from the owner of this copy of MM. He got this used copy from a creepy old guy at a yard sale. Everything was working almost completely fine until he deleted the original file that was left on there. That's when the copy took a turn for the worst, and had Link appear in scenes that weren't happening in chronological order as the regular MM should. Here's the link to the actual story.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/37180590/Majora-s-Mask and here's the link of the video he posts at the end of the story, pretty much the video he was explaining about at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6D2XCJUJHY and here's the actual video that i saw posted on FB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NPZMPiRNIc i have yet to see the 1st video link i put up b/c i was too creeped out from the 1st 1 i saw lol. yea i know a 27yr old guy creeped out by a youtube video seems kind of pathetic. But if anyone has ever played MM, then you know that this game was definitely more on the morbid side compared to other Zelda games. This glitch just takes it to another level. This could all be a fake, but it's got my attention. Any comments or questions are all welcome. Let me know what you think of those videos from youtube.

This is like the Pokemon cartridge story with the ghost in it. http://tinycartridge.com/post/866743831/super-creepy-pokemon-hack Creepy footage, but obviously not from "a creepy guy at a yard sale" haha. Nice editing and stuff though. My favorite Zelda game for sure, I love the creepy <3

thats bizarre right enough. I wouldn't mind owning that cartridge myself but tbh I probs wouldn't have the balls to play it alone lol
The part when he meets the old dude with all the masks then ends up outside Clock town & finds him, Epona, Skull Kid & ther clone all standing together has scarred me! haha
Great game aswell as Ocarina of Time & without doubt my 2 favorite comp games of all time. Always will be. Never will such a genius level of gaming be reached again.

This was written on the 4Chan board callex /x/, that is about paranormal stuff.
I stumbled across a screen shot of the original thread.

dude that is what sent a chill down my spine, right after playing the song of healing caused him to combust!
glad to kno that i'm not the only one who got creeped out by 1 of the videos, or at least man enough to admit it!
and yes OoT and Majora's Mask are at top of the Zelda series for me. WindWaker's story ending was a huge disappointment to me, and the gameplay in Twilight Princess wasn't challenging, but the storyline was amazing.

It was at least 12 hours since I saw those vids and I'm still creeped out.
EDIT: I recently tried to make contact with my friends but everyone is asleep and I'm terrified now when I'm thinking about this.

its seriously messed up dude. Not sure if it happens right at that point but when he's in the clock tower confronting Skull Kid, it's like a fire & electricity attack??? like, how is that even possible. I need to stop pondering over it cause it's frying lil hungover brain.
gotta agree about the windwaker, it was a great idea & a decent enough game but it just didn't measure up to the N64 era. See if they had kept the boat idea but stuck with the OOT & MM engine, can u imagine what they could have done man!! As for Twilight Princess, I played it for a week & got pretty far but haven't been back to it since. It just didn't grip u like the oldies, did it?
a lil off topic but something I really wish Nintendo had done was a Pokemon game using the OOT engine. Back to the very start with the whole Pallet Town mallarcy, traveling round the towns in gameboy fashion only in a Zelda 3D world. I suppose the time for this has been & gone :'(

i thought that they did one already. but am i wrong?
it shouldn't have been that hard the gameplay would've resembled more like final fantasy. but yea the time has passed if they did do one i don't think it would get a lot of recognition since the pokemon fad is hanging onto its last threads, if it hasn't died already.

They made a free roaming one for the Game Cube. Not sure if you played it but it was absoutely nothing to do with the original Pokemon story so it just didn't have the same feel about it. It would be cool if they adapted the Blue/Red Gameboy style game into a 3D style with only the original 150 pokemon but, like you say, that day has long past. We are now in the online multiplayer era. Long gone are the simple days of fishing @ the fishing farm beside Lake Hylia. Good times. : )

The hacker just overlayed the fire and the electricity graphics onto Link. If you mean in terms of the game, well maybe the electric shock started a fire.

It was actually the opposite with Wind Waker and Twilight Princess for me. TP's ending was a huge disappointment for me instead of WW. Why would they keep the N64 engine for Wind Waker though? It's terribly inferior to the Gamecube engine, they needed to move on. That doesn't mean gameplay had to change and it didn't really. Keeping everything the same would have made the series stale. Unfortunately with Wind Waker it was hit or miss with people because of the graphical style, which I thoroughly enjoyed but that's just me!
I know what you both mean though, OoT and MM always have a special place in my heart haha. :]

Are you serious? Pokemon is as strong as ever. The new games for the DS are getting perfect scores from almost all reviewers. Pokemon won't die out. It's up there with the other big Nintendo franchises such as Mario & Zelda.

Yeah Pokemon Black & White looks to be one of the best generations actually.

I don't mean they should have kept the exact engine for the game cube but I mean they should have tried to keep the same character & mabey even the darkness of MM.
Don't get me wrong, I really like WW, it was a great idea but it just seemed a bit more childish compared to the N64 ones.
Both N64 Zelda games will always be my favorite comp games ever. They just touched me in a way that no other game has before or has done since. 3rd & 4th would have to be Goldeneye then Perfect Dark so it says a lot about the N64. Best console ever by a long way.
