Why are people only now acting as if they realise uploading stuff to youtube is actually illegal? :P And either way, i don't see how having an account closed or suspended is a big deal, would you rather they sue you? Which they of course can do and you wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Although clearly this isn't going to be happening with old Hardcore tunes (or new ones for that matter).

My 2 strikes were actually from south park, 3 years ago, for less than 20 second clips. Even though south park is available on the net for free and legally!!!
**** VIACOM!
DHT or their record label have forced a bootleg they did of total eclipse of the heart to have advertising on it. Delirium, tiesto or someones record label have done the same for the video of silence i did. And either Rob Gee, Stunned guys, the person who's track stunned guys took the "Being in love sucks vocals" from or The ruffnecks have done the same aswell.
No warnings for these though, i think they might have realised youtube is what people use nowadays i mean 90% of BIG artists have an official VEVO YT account. Hardcore should really take advantage of it to reach a wider audience not shut it down especially if they're tape/cd pack rips...
^^ Saying that, posting up an entire album i don't agree with (which does happen alot)...Although the people who download from/listen to their music on YT wouldn't be buying the cd anyway...But **** making this another piracy thread!

And pay zero $ to the artists. Buying tapepacks, is like buying a pirated copy. Buying the proper records is another story though.

Do we actually know for sure that the account was closed due to copyrighted material? Youtube don't usually suspend accounts for that, they just delete them all and send you a message explaining why. People's account are usually suspended when they're abusive to others.
The deleted video gets a "removed due to copyright violation" or some such. My previous account got deleted because i uploaded a few music videos there. Funny thing is, MV's are were supposed to promote the album/single, not be the product itself.

That's changed. Didn't you know? I'm pretty sure HTID atleast are paying the right money now, or they wouldn't be bitching with scott brown about it :P

MV's are still a product of someone, much the same with movie trailers :P
Anyways, I've gotten one warning, for uploading a Touhou game music remix by M-Project. I dont know if it was the song, or the image I used (the CD-cover), but I was prompted to remove it. So far I haven't gotten any more warnings, and on most my uploads, I've stated that they only need to message me so I will remove it.
