You don't.
However...
If the pics are on imageshack or similar, they should have a share this item with a copyable forum code that you just paste straight into your post. OR If it is some random pic off the net, left click and copy image address, then click the button to the left of the button with the hash where all the little buttons are up the top of the reply dialogue.
For vids, you can just hyperlink them using the little hyperlink button with the small blue world and chain link on it, or you can embed them using the youtube tag as follows.
Get your youtube address, lets take http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wOF0Xhen0s simply because I'm listening to it now. Take everything after the equals sign, ie, _wOF0Xhen0s, and put it between the following tags, ie [ y o u t u b e ] _wOF0Xhen0s [ / y o u t u b e ] but be sure to remove the spaces. Should look a bit like this

From what I can see of my reply, to include a web address it no longer needs to be hyperlinked as it gets done automatically. Just type or copy it. Thank you silver.
