My ex lied about being pregnent. Is this meant to been seen as acceptable in today's society where something as big as having a child should be used a joke to tease an ex boyfriend? Im sorry I fail to see the humour in it especially when you say your getting an abortion when im against them.
She was no use anyway, into drugs and such but why do girls have to say they are pregnent when they are not just to hurt someone?

In 'this day and age' having a child is nothing. People do it for more taxes, or the guarentee of benefits in the UK.
I consider it very serious however.

I find it sad that people use a child to get benifits but saying your pregnent as a joke to annoy an ex after a month of ending it is pointless. Why do girls see humour in it?

yeah that whole doing it for taxes crap is a load of shit.
no offense, but thats the sort of thing people without kids who believe what they read in the Daily Mail say.
being married has monetry benefits, but add chlidren into the mix and you dont get to "keep" half the benefits or monetary income you seem to think we do.
the ratio of benefits compared to how much you actually spend on a child is vast.
child benefit is about 70-80 a month, whereas you will spend a good deal more than that each month on the child and things child related.
people dont do it for the taxes, they do it because they want one, or they get one because they were lazy..or in the worst cases, when they didnt have a choice in the matter.
olivers nursery for instance - is 15-20 a day, he goes in 3 days a week.
thats 60 a week or 220 a month.....
then theres food and clothes (new clothes every two months, cause the buggers just keep growing) don't forget toys - and weekends when you want to take him down to the jungle gym.
its completely worth it though :)

^^^ At least you care for your son. I know people who spend their benifits of drugs. I can name a number of so called parents who do drugs & think because they do it (smoke weed or snort substances) in a different room that makes it ok.
My ex even told me that when she has kids she will let them smoke weed in the house. The funny thing is these parents are the first to moan when money is tough & their kids grow up with the same disadvantages. The cycle continues...

I've never known any girls who lied about being pregnant personally but I agree that's not something you really joke about. It's really shameful how a lot of girls see babies as cute accessories or status symbols rather than a human that you need to care for. Usually bad parenting ensues.

My mum has smoked weed almost all her life but she had the decency and common sense to do it away from her kids and late at night once we'd all been to bed and were sorted. I don't see a problem with that instance!
