Just got this on vinyl today. What a pair of athems! Proper Hardcore! Feel in a much better mood (been ill last few days) and really wish they made tunes like this again! 1997 was the last year of proper Hardcore. Slammin Vinyl sure made some slammers that urinate over today's Hardcore. First heard You had it all in a DJ Spree set I downloaded a few years ago!
CBA to put youtube vids up as im recoring my other vinyls

You had it is the better track imo. Quality track and one of my all time favs.

1998 was a good year. With stuff like DNA's remix of So In Love and Somewhere Out There by DNA. Absolutely brilliant tuneage.

Not as goodf as 97 or 96 though. Not as many hard kicks although Marc Smith's Remix of 2 without heads - you and me has a nice Happy Gabber feel to it. All these tunes uriante over today's so called 'Hardcore'

mine as well. music is my life...eh, it's alright but you had it all has an awesome piano & that killer breakdown in the middle that still to this day gives me shivers
because I mean after all, there are too many people standing around with a frown =P

Damn right, that second breakdown is fantastic. I've got the vocal for that and always wanted to try a remix but don't have the skills to do it justice.
As for Music is my life, it's been ripped off so many times it's just "meh" now. The only good one for me now is Tucker Jenkins - Music Is My Life. Such a mellow old skool feel to it.

I love that bit. I can only imagine that in a rave live! They won't play tunes like that no more so I wont go to raves (unless someone drops it in and Old Skool set)

Yeah, a few different tracks have had vocals ripped from it.

1998 was brilliant for a few tunes that came out plus the fact people were still playing 1997 tunes. 1997 was so well rounded though, some great harder stuff for those who liked it and for me I'd say anything by Triple J was just beyond excellent, their productions were just pure quality, excellent happy hardcore as it should be.
