From time to time I download a new mix full of some really good tunes. Often I have never heard them before but I downloaded the mix because I recognised the artists and thought it would be something I like. There will be a few favorite tunes or artists on there but mostly stuff I havn't heard before so I feel it would be a good listen!
A few years ago I got into the Dutch Old Skool (93-97) & loved it ahnd had loads of new favorite artists.
This year I have been tempted into the early 90s (still love the Dutch stuff more though) and the other night I came across some mixes on discogs (I joined a discogs group) & saw a few mixes by someone who had some 'classics' up. Mostly Hard Trance stuff but he had an Old Skool 'Rotter5dam Hardcore Techno' & I was like 'yes please' & downloaded it. Some real quality tunes on there. Mostly Dutch & German stuff & some very sexy bassdrums but also a James Bond theme by Moby which made it interesting. The next mix was 'UK Hardcore aka breakbeat techno: 91-93' which as you can imagine was real Old Skool breakbeat stuff. Again some I heard before like Sons of a loop da loop era - Far out & Johnny L - Hurt you so which where big tunes at the time but most I never heard before!
****ing amazing is all I can say, im amazaded at how good the music was in 91/92, it seems there is so many tunes from that era. I can only imagaine how good it sounds live at a rave buzzing off E (real Ecstasy, not like the stuff they sale today) & the mixing was great. The way the tunes where dropped was amazing! I just felt the music go through me and even though I just had my head phones in it toke me to another place!
Better than today's shite! 
Who else loves ity when they downloaded or listen to a set full of tunes that they never heard before & fall in live with them?
