The recognition it deserves? Electro hardcore is the only type of hardcore that IS getting any type of recognition AT ALL. Everyone makes it! ><

What are you talking about!!! Trancey hardcore is all anyone has been making for the last 10 years!!! Very much an overdone and a tired dated sound. Time to get with the times man. Everyone complained when Hardcore turned to Trance in the late 90s's and then fell in love with it. I'm very sure the same thing will happen to Electro in Hardcore. It's a newer exciting sound and most of the younger dance scene love it. Electro style hardcore is here to stay whether you like it or not!
I think all the producers experimenting with Electro Hardcore should be commended as they are taking things foward instead of trying to Sound like a 1999 Gatecrasher CD on speed.

LMAO fail on so many levels!

1st of all, it's spelled Twista

Secondly, neither Lethal Theory nor Twista deserves label of the yr imo (i'm sure there are many on this site who will agree), but Twista would deserve it less b/c of the utter shit that it has been releasing this yr (mostly due to squad-e). re-con's stuff hasn't been that great this yr either

for me mostly i just don't believe much in a label who thought it was a great idea to put a terrible track like Never Leave You on vinyl

Recons stuff has'nt been that good WTF are you on about. The guy is on fire. His tracks are the freshest sounding around at the moment with all those Electro edged hardcore tunes.
If Recons is'nt so good, why did Darren Styles and Recon win track of the year??????
If not Twista then which label do you think? Hardcore Underground I would agree with but most of the other digital labels are crap..
The funny thing about these awards is that people get all fired up when it's not someone they like. I've said all along in other posts that Recon, Darren Styles and Gammer are the best producers around in Hardcore. And everyone goes na your tripping. Well look what happened each one of those producers got recognised in the Hardcore Heaven Awards. And I know thousands of voters would have more idea on who deserves credit than a few jealous, bitter and twisted people like yourself!!!!

(that wasnt a dig at like a bitch) just felt i had to say something, people like what they like, if people dont like electo-hardcore you should respect that!

I do respect peoples opinions and like i said "if you don't like, then that's your opinion!" But i think its mad how people can slag it off and say its shit when id say there's more people out there that do like it, than people who don't! imo... But i just think there's no need for people to slag it off, saying its shit, it shouldn't build up that way then drop like it does!! Its a fresh new style of core that is going down well with most. And the production quality is stunning on most of these tracks, you gotta admit even if you dont like the style!!

And totally agree that you dont have to follow suit, But not everyone who goes to raves get pilled up 99% maybe. im not a pill head and love it when it drops. And imo i really think that hardcore is going the electro way.. I think your going to hear it a lot, lot more in uk hardcore.

its not so insane to think that some people arent going to like a sound just because eeeeeeeeeeeeveryone else likes it.

also there is nothign "fresh" about pulling off a sound thats been going around for ages, across most of the dance genres

i def disagree that those 3 are the best in hardcore around atm. i considered them great at 1 point or another, but not anymore.

and ur argument that they are the best out there b/c they won their HH awards is laughable. the HH awards are the equivalent to the Teen Choice Awards in the US. it's won by a popular vote, not for the quality of its production or the vocals. and the majority of the fans who vote for these artists, including mainstream hardcore, don't take any of that into consideration. do u think the best songs and singers in the world win grammys? yea right. even tho i hate American Idol, i admit that the ppl on there have amazing voices, and it is rather a shame that most of them will amount to nothing.

i will admit that lately DS has been putting a whole lot more effort into his music, but i don't think like a bitch should have won. it was too new, and other songs already established themselves as being a far better tune and have been out there longer than like a bitch has. i think the song conveniently came out just for the sole purpose of winning the award.

and i'm not jealous of them. their money maybe, but if that's the type of music that they have to produce to get all of that fame and money, then i want no part of it. and i'm not a sheep and i will never agree with you just b/c there are thousands of others out there who like their stuff. what's popular isn't always right, and what's right isn't always popular.

Totally agree with this,i've only ever heard a few tracks this style and every time i thought the kick in was gonna be awesome only to be let down by this hard kick and heavy bass

It means that the clubland followers have learned their names nothing more. These awards are horseshit most of the time because gammer and MC storm keep winning things.

Not anymore sunshine! He's sold out and doing tunes for clubland kiddies and not of the hardcore variety either. That and the awful pile of crap he has been producing lately (bang yer head off and manjari) means he's Styles mach 2. The reason i bring up the eurotrash ponsey boy is because Like a bitch is in no way worthy of track of the year. It's awful!

Mind you i should not be suprised as guitar hero won last year which is why again these awards are quite frankly equine offal of the highest order.

I know my Best Hardcore Techno DJ award was a tad controverisial, but have a gander at my facebook note peeps...

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Joey-Riot/67560282640#!/notes/joey-riot/thank-you-lethal-theory-best-label-2010-joey-riot-best-hardcore-techno-dj-2010-h/168164519869828

I play Gabber in EVERY set & I'm one of the few UK hardcore DJs that does. The majority of the voters don't venture into the techno rooms at the big events therefore more votes went my way. Maybe the way the nominations are set out is flawed.

As I said though i do play Gabber in every set and am one of the few DJs in the UK who make and release harder music, its a genre I'm very passionate about and will continue to push to new audiences around the world when I play.

Every year i read that it must be fixed as all the same people win the awards every year... This couldn't be further from the truth. Gammer HAS been at the top of his game for the past 3 years so should rightly be best DJ imo. But Gammer is still a relatively new name on the scene as are we, but have won awards in our won right, whether you think them deserved or not.

Most of the people who vote are the people who go to the big raves in the UK, and all you have to do is go to theses events and see how popular the award winners are with the Ravers to see that its not fixed.

Thanks to any one who voted for my in each of the Catagories I was nominated in.
Its great to win Best Label 2 years on the Bounce. :)
