nope, i did get goldneye for the Wii though....which im going to be selling after ive finished it - just dont like FPS's on consoles. least of all the wii lol.

Yea, they make one every year. Its basically because 2 companies are making them. Activision i think makes every second one, and Infinity Ward makes the rest. so really each company gets 2 years to make the game.

Both Infinity Ward and Treyarch are owned by Activision.
But, Infinity Ward had it's top officials dismissed, and almost half of all it's original employees (designers and all) left due to it. So really it's just some label now, and Activision even started "Sledgehammer Games" who are going to release an 'action-adventure' type game for the CoD franchise.
They're milking the cow for all it's worth.

Also sniping now online is a PAIN, I don't think many quick-scopes are gonna happen anymore. Though, on my first game, I got 24 kills and 3 deaths using the M16. I'm currently rank 8, waiting to get to 9 so I can get my M14.
And what's with this new contract shit? We earn "points" to buy stuff? I have to "pay" to "earn" these points in these contracts doing stupid shit? Having just a goal to go to for rewards was better, not this money-management system. It's adding another level of complexity to a game most people it seems didn't even pass High School with the way they talk online.

Well it's a Cold War game after all, and USSR played a central role in it :p
In general, it makes just as much sense putting Russia in a game as USA, they're both very powerful countries.

This franchise amazes me, I don't play video games apart from with my kids rarely, but all the lads in work have been on about for weeks how,where and when they are getting this game, but when i ask whats the big deal, they all go on about playing on-line and not the game itself, which to me means its just another way of being in a scenario of beating the shit out of someone in a safe, i'm at home, internet world!
