Make your pick, but also please write why so there can be some discussion! :D
Mine, in no particular order:
01. Special Agent Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks)
- He's just unique; really charming, calls his portable recording device Diane, loves coffee and pie and always make sure the waitresses know with the most intricate words. He reads people like open books, rarely (if ever) loses his temper and cool. You just don't see characters like this on TV anymore. :P
02. Walter Bishop (Fringe)
- So socially misplaced, haha. After being a bit demented and locked in a mental hospital for years, it doesn't come as a surprise he'll be a bit... special. Just love all the random comments he makes in the most unfitting situations and how the characters around him always never are quite prepared. Then he also has this deep, emotional side that just hits you hard cause you feel so sorry for the broken man.
03. Desmond Hume (Lost)
- Mr. Hume just wants to get back together with his Penny and when he finally does, I don't think I've ever been so happy for two television characters - it's unreal, I felt like a woman, I was even crying. :P Then the sad part of it is that once they're together, he just really can't leave the island behind him no matter how hard he wishes he could. He's a very well-written character who also coined the words: "See you in another life, brotha!".
04. Benjamin Linus (Lost)
- Couldn't pick just one Lost character... Ben is a tragic story. He's always been pushed and played around, and thought he did what was best but it always turned out he was a pawn even when he was the leader. Michael Emerson is just the perfect actor, he portrays all sides of Ben just perfectly. Also, has any TV show character received so many punches to the face before? Haha.
05. Dean Winchester (Supernatural)
- Jensen Ackles is just an outstanding actor as Dean. He can do the deep and serious, he can do the comedic, he can do the angry and threatening, he can do the womanizer and yeah, I guess that's why Dean is such a strong character. He doesn't want to show his weaknesses and always tries to play the tough guy but there are those moments when he just plainly is weak and those hit home. Also, he comedic side of him is genius. Just check out this outtake from Supernatural. Gotta love it! XD

Claire - Heroes
Why? :O
In his defence, have you seen her?
Yeah, I watched first three season of Heroes. Then I gave up. They should only have made one season. I liked Claire in season 1 but not after that. I mean, that cringe-worthy romance with the guy who could fly? What, do they think I'm 8 years old or something? lol But hardly seems fair to let looks decide who your favourite character is unless you're watching Top Model or a porn movie. :P

whispering must have an ongoing hard-on, he doesn't need viagra :P
Well I rarely watch TV shows nowadays.
But I used to watch alot of comedies, so i guess i have to go with those :P
1. Jarod (The Pretender)
How many can take up a job, perfect it in less than 1 day, eat candy and then solve a crime, while being chased by the FBI/The Center who created him :P
2. Charles Harper (2 and a half men)
When will he slap his brother's son?
3. Dave Lister (Red Dwarf)
The only (living) human in the Red Dwarf crew, and he's horny.
