I think it's time for a thread to discuss about songs, if they should be interpreted as hardcore or another genre.

I am starting with two classics:

1) Jens Lissat - The Future

It certainly is a magnificant track and owns a nice quick beat, acid sound and dreamable breaks, but to my opinion this is how a lot of Trance-tracks sounded these days. I would classify it as Trance.

2) Space Frog - Time Slip (Lost In Space Vol.2)

If I listen to the first half of that song, I would say this should be Hardcore, but the second part includes lots's of Jungle/Drum'n Bass elements. Because all these styles were very close together these days, I really find it difficult to classify this track.

Ouch! :D Interesting to see, what a different character is able to change.

But this is what I meant saying the old tracks are quite difficult to classify.
