stand by me is a great movie. Does she read? It might be worth getting her different seasons by stephen king. It has four short stories including shawshank redemption and the written version of stand by me (the movie was almost a word for word adaptation).
It's something I would much prefer over a movie tbh, and keeps you entertained for much longer.
