What can I do to burn a mixed cd without gaps? Windows Media creats gaps between the tracks.

roxio and nero have that option i believe. windows media player is only good for a music player and ripping songs imo

Yeah, I have used Nero to do this in the past. The free trial even lets you do it

i think it depends on if the burning software burns the audio as a wav or burns the audio file "on the fly".
On-the-fly means it burns the files as they are. If you burn mp3's to an Audio-CD, even without a gap, you will still get a gap, because how the MP3 codec works. If the burning software decode the mp3 to wav, it might remove this "data"-gap and give you a true gapless CD.
The gap is minimal (you will notice it if you're not doing much at the time of the track change), but it still annoys me the hellova lot :P That's why (especially with mp3+cue files) I always encode to wave first before i burn an Audio-CD
