I watch Shameless religiously and I'm glad its caught on over the pond. It means that the original seems to have a stable future.
Ive seen a clip of an episode - the one where Frank disappears to France, and everyone looks for him, and its identical even down to the chasing the phone bit. The characters seem to be believable versions of the ones we know. Veronica in particular is a character that should catch on being witty, clever and obsessed with sex.
I hope it does well for the sake of the UK version/.

I love shameless and looking forward to starting again from the beginning but American style..
its on every night this week over here, shame it can't replace eastenders or emerdale lol...
like u say tho it cements the UK version as the money paid for the US version will no doubt go towards keeping the UK one on longer..

watched shameless us last night.. first impressions.. not bad but nowhere near as good as the UK version...
hopefully it will get better as shameless gets better..

To be honest that picture just re-enforces how bad it is. They couldn't pull of the subtlety of the original so went the more generic slapstick route.
