Nah, they're all ******** mate.
Tiesto, yeh, he's the real rocknrolla.
All well known DJ's, if you're into this Music.
And finally DJ Tiesto often uses songs of others DJ, mixes them together and sells it as a Mix-CD. All the other DJ's do it as well. It is more untypical to produce a CD with selfproduced stuff only, than mixing up different songs.
By the way: The song Adagio For Strings was produced by William Orbit. Ferry Corsten only has done a remix.
It's the children who upload the stuff on youtube and give you misinformations, due they bought a Tiesto album. All songs and their original producers are mentioned in Tiesto's tracklists.

Alright, there seems to be an older track existing, which caught the interest of a DJ ca. 10 years ago. But why no one else seemed to be bothered about all the wrong previous posts? I only can imagine that now it is Tiesto bashing time. To my opinion he was the most outstanding Trance DJ from 1999 to 2004. Only DJ Taucher had been better than Tiesto. I agree with you guys, that since then Tiesto has totaly sucked, but denying his talent is certainly so wrong. He just became arrogant and narcissistic like DJ Taucher, producing boring tracks and touring to exotic places.
What do you expect, when it comes to Trance? It has become a dead genre! Only the last eructation is left. If Trance wants to survive they really have to go back to kind of the Ambient style like Chicane produced or DJ Taucher's extreamly long brakes.

I was massively into trance during the hardcore wilderness years and have kept a close eye on the scene for a lot of years now. What surprises me is how well it's survived despite the music being pretty poor for at least the past 6 or 7 years. A testament to the following it has i suppose.

Yeah it's equal to Hardcore in lack of originality terms, just produced a lot better! It's also not making a poor attempt at sounding like another genre like Hardcore.

The reason is that music TV and radio stations in Europe still play it, although it became wack. At the moment it gets replaced by this shitty and boring House/Electro/Minimal more and more; finally reaching its own funeral.
I e-mailed an alternative music TV station in my area. I received an answer they will check their playlist on March 1st and they are planning to present more Happy Hardcore. Hopefully they will not remain to the past commercial succesfully tracks only.

Imo, a lot of trance tries to sound like electro or is just too damn poppy ;p Should be more entrancing, otherwise why call it trance? With the same logic hardcore should probably have distorted kicks on every track, which I wouldn't mind tbh, though I don't mind them the way they are either. But since you can't measure music on Moh's scale, it's hard to determine the hardness of it ;) Also, with the amount of genres and subgenres these days, you don't have many options where you wouldn't steal ideas from someone else ;p
