Seinfeld used to be my favourite program til i saw many repeats. I've actually not seen it for years now so it would probably be as good all over again. Either way its pure brilliance.

I find it questionable that anyone could not find it funny lol.

I just keep focused on Simpsons, Family Guy and New Kidz. Don't need anything of this US evening *we'll record in the laughter* "entertainment".

honestly 1/2 of america loved it, and the other half absolutely hated it! I, as well as the majority of my friends, hated it. Friends was a much better show during that time, as well as Frasier. And I understood it very well, i just never found it funny at all, especially Jerry Seinfeld or George.
I think what made that show is the popularity amongst ppl outside of the US. i hear it has a huge following in many countries.

Well, i guess it was predictable that as a fan of 2 And A Half Men that you would not find it funny (since our senses of humour are clearly somewhat different. Not that i never find 2 And A Half Men funny, i just don't think it's done in a very clever way) :P Frasier on the other hand is extremely good.

I only totally hate the rushed changes in German synchronising voices, since the German voice of Marge died. And please notice, that in Germany we always delay everything for at least 2 years. I don't know today's Simpsons, but at the moment it still is enjoyable to me.

The Simpsons went rapidly downhill from Season 19, Season 20 onwards is just awful, unwatchable. And i really love the Simpsons so that's saying something.

You speak English, watch the English/American versions. I can't imagine how much is lost in translation and from someone else replacing the original voices.

Simpsons go thru shitloads of writers that their humor is so inconsistent. i've seen a few episodes from that last 2 seasons and it's actually gotten good again! this scene (couldn't find 1 a clip in english) had me laughing so hard my ribs hurt!
and family guy doesn't have so many damn flashbacks i hated those so much. has many worthwhile episodes. the episode where peter was infected with the gay gene was hilarious!

I've seen it a couple of times, didn't understand what was going on any of the times but just put it down to the fact that i didn't really put any effort into watching it and hadn't watched it from the start. Although in my opinion for a sitcom i shouldn't really have to!
Might sound like a load of cliched bollocks, but the reason you didn't find it funny is because you haven't gotten to know the characters well enough. I'd say 80-90% of the gags stem from, and relate to, the relationships between characters, and each character's quirks. I know you probably won't, but if you watched, say, 12 episodes, right from Season 1, Episode 1 - I think you'd see what I mean. I think it is a seriously fcuking funny show. And Jack Donaghy is one of the greatest characters ever created in television history. What. A. Man.

I love the Simpsons but recently it's become more like Family Guy it seems.
and the animation well... they fell under the hold of cutting corners in Flash so it looks like the rest of the crap on TV. As an animator, this especially disappoints me.

Nah that is what i was saying myself, that i probably havn't seen enough of it to get it (I've barely seen it at all) so i agree. Although having to watch so many episodes to get into it seems a bit excessive in general as it might lose a lot of potential viewers that way lol (i guess many people just instantly get it though). Although otherwise i find stuff that takes time to get into usually is better for it.
