That's because the Electro you hear is probably mainstream, and as such is god awful. Proper Electro has rythem etc. I'm not a fan of it (absolutely hate commercial stuff) but i know that much.

Well, it sounds good and it certainly sounds like Electro but since I'm not particulaly into the genre i don't really have an opinion. Objectively speaking it sounds as good as any other song in that style that i would expect to hear in an Electro mix, so i guess in that respect it's a success? But i mean me telling you that isn't really useful to you. Plus, it's unfinished right? You should definately finish it (in that it's worth finishing) if that's what you want to know. Personally i'd like to hear a prominent 909 hi-hat thrown in there about half way through to really move things along rythmically, but then we produce very different music lol.

It's not actually electro though, but electro house 
It sounds like a good track, could be a hit on ze tanzfloor. I can't provide any technical advice though ;p
