It's not (only) a brainwash imo, it's just that people don't give a **** searching other genres (like I don't give a **** searching country music but I probably wouldn't mind listening it), so if nobody gives it to them, they won't listen to it. Simple as that :)
It simply doesn't stay to disregarding only. In every trash-show, like Oli Pocher's (a German self-proclaimed "comedian") Trash Top 100 on Viva he had played all the HHC tracks and made fun of them all the time. That has caused, no one here ever wants to get in touch with this genre. In society it is more accepted to come out being homosexual or whatever, than sharing your passion for this kind of music.
You probably still remember my lately words about the chances of a comeback of HHC. I kind of said, that it will be possible only, if it takes place in an "exotic" country, meaning a country, which completely skipped out the short HHC-hype back in the 90's (I somehow count to the U. S. on this).

because the songs are simply good
Not really! To my opinion it is more the fact that all these song get played over and over again until people start to like them.
Someone on this forum had posted following clip. I think it's hilarious in desribing the situation:

Theoretically this is true. Imagine extraterrestrials would exist. Wrong notes may sound wrong to us, but perhaps not to them. So everything we hear is judged by what we consider as normal and what our hearing system thinks sounds "beautiful" or "right" (by beautiful I don't mean something harmonic or romantic, but just a "good" sound which sounds right to us; we will notice when in a song wrong notes/tones appear).
Therefore, all of that is only in relation to US, but not to everything or everyone else.
@ Warnman: Exactly! Nobody wants to listen to it because it has been given a bad image by the society. Now imagine the society would have given it a good image, people would listen to it. That was my point :)
And I cannot agree that commercial tracks are bad, just a few here:

And I think, it has not been the society, giving HHC a bad image, rather than the music mafia, which wanted to push forward something different in expectations of more profit.
I mean, how can someone like Lady Gaga become a drugged up "artist"? She more deserved to become a drugged up street hooker in NYC.

All great tracks, but come on: the newest one is from 1994. At that time I was able to listen to a radio station without having the urge to puke.

Yeah, 1994 was long time ago, I agree. But even now. You talk about Lady Gaga, but check out the song Don't Call My Name (Alejandro) and the best type of video to choose on Youtube when listening to it, is a neutral one without any images or actual videos, because these will influence your "image" on the song, and everytime you hear the song you will have this image(s) of the track in your head. So once you've chosen one, close your eyes and just listen to the song! To me, that song is really good. Vocals are less cheesy and make more sense than any Vocals in Hardcore. The whole track for me has a balearic "image" - I think of large coasts, wind in your hairs, the smell of the sea, wearing a white shirt, everything is atmospheric and you just feel like flying while watching the horizont! The official clip on the other hand is completely different. But still, for me, the track has a balearic feeling, and I love everything that is balearic! Unlike maths (for example), music is an art. It's wrong to look at it objectively. Just let yourself go, don't think of Lady Gaga's ugly outfit on the Youtube video or all the kids that would like to have the same. Also, as far as I know, she does everything pretty much alone. So I wouldn't say there is no talent behind all of what she does, it would be a huge mistake to pretend that ;)
