fast, euphoric, and lots of melody, like makina, but prefer kickdrum & beats (pattern) from 1996-1998 styled happy hardcore

Hm... lots of things already have been said.
I might just add following two points:
- Use the wide spectrum of percussion instruments (most tracks seem to be restricted to high hats, claps and snaredrums only). For example: I loved the typewriter sound, that was used in "Music Instructor - Hymn".
- fancy, wild going acid line (I think it was used quite often in Blumchen tracks)

It's interesting that the answers so far mainly show an enthusiasm for proper 'Happy Hardcore',
so although there's the occasional 'good track', does this mean that most of us are just putting-up with what's on offer today?
and Revs, you have been paying attention.

putting up with, living in the past yeah :)
i tend to focus on freeform when i produce, once i have finished the few tracks i'm working on at the moment i'm going to continue working on the early 90's happy hardcore track i was working on

For general listening it just has to be nice to listen to. I don't think there is any particular style that I flat out dislike. Except "shit" of course but that isn't really a style. ;)
At a party it has to have drive and power though. 8) Plodding along doesn't do it for me on the dancefloor.
