Then check out this bad boy tune! Scott Brown vs. DJ Pleasure - Hallelujah (Hardcore Mix) Must be one of Scott Brown's finest works! Proper Hardcore. The other side (the none 'Hardcore mix') is also worth the listen.

Enjoy!

Neko's right smoogie's version is very bland, and it sounds more like dutch hardcore or terrorcore than UK/happy hardcore.

the version hard2get put up is way better! it's unique and stands out from the rest of the stuff that was pretty repetitive back in the day

there's also the 2000 remix that is my favorite, but i couldn't find a clip of it that wasn't a filesharing site :/

Thats my favourite mix too.. Well apart from the unreleased one with an extra riff that was used on his Hardcore 2000 album.

Yeah it might sound a little basic now but production style aside the songwriting is spot on. Lots of tracks nowadays are filled with clever edits and tricks but the actual music content is very bland.

Maybe it does to you now. But you have to remember how old it is and how it was tracks like that which paved the way for dance music as we know it.

i don't think i'd like it much if i heard it when it was around. i generally like the 80s sound but on this tune it doesn't do it for me. and just because it's old and possibly paved the way for dance music doesn't make it sound any better. i don't think ppl will be liking a hardcore song that was just released in 20yrs that they initially hated just b/c it's old

so that 2000 version was never released huh? maybe i'll consider making a video out of it, or putting up a partial clip of the track for those that don't know it.

I'm not a fan of 80's stuff in general but even i can tell that it's objectively good. Ahead of it's time.

I totally like the sound of the 80's: New Wave, Synthie-Pop, Electro-Pop, Hip House...you name it. Beautiful melodies, which had influenced the following 90's very strongly. And of course well produced tunes most of the time.
I had more fun at a 80's revival party a couple of weeks ago than on a 90's one.
