What the most a phone can emulate these days? You still stuck with SNES and GameBoy games?

i would say so, but the iphones app/games do have ps1/n64 level graphics quality but the more complicated the game the less fun it is to play on a touch screen.

I've only seen the Xbox and PS2 games emulated at most (Marvel vs. Capcom 2).
But I'd still emulate to play Galaga, Neo Bomberman, Snow Brothers, 1942, and all those other great Retro games...

I'd rather just play all the classic games on my PSP and Wii and all the newer ones on my soon to be 3DS (something a phone will never be able to emulate correctly)
Maybe it's just me, but I don't really see the point of playing games on a touch-screen phone with or without a joy-pad. If I want to play a game that badly I'll just boot it on a console or my PC that has a screen that doesn't want to make me tear my eyes out.

there's a new android coming out that looks like a DS... double sided touchscreen.. and of course there's the 3D mobile fones too.. so I wouldn't of thought its impossible...
the screen on my fone is more than big enough to play emulator games.... rotfl much easier than firing up a pc or console... whip it out of my pocket...

It's impossible for now. You won't be booting any 3DS game on a mobile phone any-time soon, maybe in 10 years or so but not now.
My computer is always on so booting a a game takes literally seconds.

definitely agree with this, the same can be said about videos, but i've learned to make an exception for videos. there's only so much you can do on the bus to distract you for hour long rides

It's not the 3D that makes the 3DS good, it's just the sheer power of the machine, you can get a full working Copy of Resident Evil 5 running on it. Phones still have Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros and some shitty touch screen without ANY buttons. A joypad will always beat touchscreen and motion sensing.
