All CDs are magnetically written, therefore, all CDs could lose their quality. As anyone knows about magnetism is that when you magnetize another object, it only lasts for a certain amount of time, and degrades as time goes on.

I would be surprised if you could ever notice it if they did.

CDs are not magnetically written.
The silver in a CD is Aluminium, which is not magnetic and therefore won't degrade.
The only degradation will be from physical damage.
This should help you - http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/cd1.htm

Yeah i was going to say, it's tapes (in all their forms) that are magnetically written lol. Even now i find the whole concept ingenious, i don't know who anyone invented such a thing. But then science is not my strong point.

Come again? Could you please tell my 10 year old CDs and 10 year old workstation at work why it still works? :)

Because the information has been laser etched onto the plastic of the cd, it can't be damaged. Your 10 year old cd's still work because the reflective coating hasn't been damaged (a real bitch) and the plastic hasn't been scratched so much that it deflects the laser.
Your workstation still works because the laser hasn't moved or damaged and the reader still reads accurately.
