Last night I witnessed the most phenomenal lightning storm I've ever seen. It was amazing. Went on for well over an hour - with flashes and forks of lightening at least once a second, somewhere in the sky at all times.
I'm in Bangkok at the moment, and I've got a friend staying down the road. He's on the 14th floor of an apartment building. He happens to be a pretty damn good photographer, but with these pictures - it was definitely just luck Here's two of the best ones:
I only have a basic camera, and was just recording a short video. I played it back afterwards and paused it on this still. It looks like the middle of the fcuking day! It was like 8 at night. It's pitch black in Bangkok by about 6.30.
