Hi I'm just about to start out Djing hardcore etc and I'm looking at getting a pair of pioneer cdj200s and was wondering what mixer to get with it.. behringers seem to be quite popular but the behringer djx700 seems to get a slating in reviews any ideas on what mixer would be best for me to start out on considering obviously price???

Please advise :)

behringers are quite good, but if you have the cash go for a pioneer mixer, djm400s are brill, 800s are even better but even more expensive plus you prob wont need an 800 unless you've got a very flashy setup but its nice to be familiar with them as they are a bit of a club standard at the moment.

in the end though I find you are more likely to switch your mixer than say your decks themselves so well done on going with the pioneers! They'll last for donkeys, expect to switch your mixer quite a bit through your DJing career though. You do get what you pay for so in the long run getting a DJM400 will save you cash and they are very reliable but if you want to start right away there isn't much harm in getting a cheaper mixer and behringer isn't a bad make.

I can personally vouch for the DJM 400. Lovely little mixer. My first and only, so far.
