Drugs/wives/children aside, I like the fact that he doesn't make excuses, he's not naive about society and he's an independent thinker. When society labels someone as crazy, it's sometimes just because they don't think they other people and "normal" people want to shut them up.

There's a reason I put normal in parenthesis, it's purely subjective. I'm talking about society's "normal" which is complete concocted bullcrap.

This isn't what I meant. Do you see how the newscaster is uncomfortable with what Charlie is saying? They make people like Charlie look mentally insane to the world through the media so nobody LISTENS to them anymore. It's a mind game. There was a criminal on the news not too long ago who they reported as being mentally unstable because he believed the government was not to be trusted. This IS about censoring opinions but it's not about covering their mouths outright and saying "you can't say that." It's more subtle if they label people so the vast majority won't believe what they're saying anyway.
