Read the article.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1369595/Jacob-Barnett-12-higher-IQ-Einstein-develops-theory-relativity.html I personally think this is amazing. I've seen a lot of comments from people i know who take Calculus that say things like "yeah this is pretty common for advance calc, we do this sort of stuff in classes all the time". The point isn't that he can do it, the point is that he's 12, and while you had more thna 10 years to be taught this sort of information, he taught himself within a week.... and before that week was over he also was competent with trigonometry and geometry. I seriously think this kid is going to revolutionize the basic and advanced theories we (the human race) have created. He's going to do something amazing like find out how to time travel, or travel at the speed of light, or create a renewable energy source, or cure cancer or give us an answer to where/when time and space began. The fact is, he's 12 years old and he's EXPANDING on some of the most intricate and complex scientific theories mankind has on offer (expanding on einstein's theory of relativity). But that's not enough, he's also already planning to disprove the big bang theory. There's going to be some exciting things happening because of this kid. Discuss.

Ah, the future of science. Can indeed be interesting to see what he can do!

personally, I beleive in reincarnation.. scientists beleive that we only use 10% of our brains... I beleive the other 90% in some people we call genius is just stored information from a previous life and easily collected or remembered once a person goes through a happening like education or something.. probably far to deep for this forum, but I inow what I mean anyway

Actually debunked by the mythbusters, the 10% comes from usage at the same time, you use nearly all of your brain.

Quite possilby
time travel
highly doubtful
travel at the speed of light
no
or create a renewable energy source
Only by accident if he does, it will be as a side application of his studies.
or cure cancer
no. Just not going to happen, pretty much ever.
or give us an answer to where/when time and space began.
Maybe not completely, but will certainly push the envelope of understanding.
Will be interesting

not surprising that an autistic person is that smart, they obsorb information so fast its rediculous, also the big bang theory is in my opinion is kind of dull, its just that science says from alchemy and a bunch of other things that something cant be created out of nothing

I'd be well pissed off if he was writing on my windows like that.

This kid is brilliant, I was in disbelief reading it. While he'll most likely advance science if he keeps going at this pace unrestrained, I don't think he will change our culture by his findings alone.
We already have renewable energy sources like wind and tidal power but we do not use them as efficiently as we could because our fossil fuel and nuclear power makes too much money to consider abolishing for the sake of renewable energy.
Curing cancer is, to me, a questionable pursuit because it is already possible, but would mean turning our current culture upside down. Only 5-10% of all cancer is caused by genetics, the rest by external causes such as diet and exercise, tobacco and pollutants. In our world of a food industries (food businesses), pollution and poison, we search for "the cure for cancer" like it's inescapable but in fact most of the harm is self-inflicted by today's lifestyle, perpetuated by the global economy. It's very possible to avoid most cancer if we lived in a world where we ate real food, respected and didn't pollute the environment or ourselves. The real cure for cancer is right under our noses but we ignore it. But I'm sure at some point the "cure for cancer" will arrive in a shiny package of a chemical concoction for people to sell their souls.
My two cents there.

i also have Aspergers Autism, like the kid(but my specialty is business math, im 6yrs older, and im not as smart as him by a long shot) . but what hes doing is ridiculous and mind blowing to even understand completely.
it's interesting that he has trouble sleeping due to the fact he has numbers running through his head, i also have trouble sleeping and weird sleeping patterns since i have loads running through my head (sound design, how to make money in financial investments 2, what the trend of gas prices, whats going to be the conversion rate of the US dollar to in a few weeks and other random stuff like that; that effects my life in sum little way.)
