Oh right just re-read. Yeah club life is a brilliant little venue, a guy called DJ Tech runs Total Hardcore Radio and later on this month he's doing the first even for the radio called "Total Hardcore" and it'll be at Life (Event link: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=121062067966661) but when the event is all done or whatever might be a good idea to get in touch with him and just have a chat about stuff, I'm sure he'd give you some pointers and advice regarding the venue and stuff.

Superb mate. I had a feeling you'd be keen. Looking forward to seeing you all Candied up. Is it spelt with a K? or a C? God I feel so old.

There's only so much I can do at the moment - which is really frustrating. I don't know when I'm going to be back in England It could be September, but it could be December/January. It depends on something that I will know the answer to in the next few weeks. Other than that, I can't really get much more specific at the moment.

I'm genuinely chuffed to see people's positive reaction to this. And I'm even more pleased that people aren't just giving the usual "Yeah, that could be cool" - lots of people have actually offered to help with contacts, experience, volunteering to play etc.

Big thanks for everyone's response so far.

I know it's still an 'if', and still a fair way away even if it does happen, but no harm in having some fun: name suggestions anyone?

Either one dude it doesn't matter, people were saying it at raves in North America long before they were discussing it on the internet, weird when you think about it like that..

Yeah as for name suggestions, personally MYSELF would steer away from anything with 'core' or 'hardcore' in the title but that's personally because I think every event I've been to lately has had that in the name somewhere and I'm a bit bored of it, but other people might like names like that. I guess if you don't use that in there people may overlook fliers etc. up to you in the end. It'd be cool if you could keep it slightly themed or something. For example if it was on the first of april it'd be cool to get an april fools kinda circus thing going. Not seriously suggesting THAT but you know, fitting the event name to the type of music and the atmosphere of the party. Happy Nation events in London used to have big inflatable flowers and stuff going around.

"if you build it... ... they will come!!"

it'll go off, just plan well enough ahead of time...

having never thrown an event myself, never mind in the UK, have you thought about insurance?

I had a feeling it would be Club life! I know a couple of guys who have thrown parties there, so I can enquire for you.

Last time I was there one of the bouncers actually banned me from coming back inside just before my set - proper idiot on a power trip and it took a lot of persuading to come back in :/

Other than that, nice enough venue - holds a fair few too!

Id be happy to help in anyway I can even if its just inviting people to the event on facebook! But Id also like to come, its a couple hundred miles away but would be good to meet some people off here.

I could also maybe help you out with getting an NSR DJ or something to do a set. Im sure someone like Chris Ross would be well up for it if hes free on that date
