After a good 1st Quarter in 2011 for NSR we are starting to make some big plans as we aim to grow and push boundaries even further! Gaining BBC Radio 1 airplay and continuing to drive forward with CD releases has given us a fantastic platform to build on.
So what are we looking for?
Producers - Of any genre! For the UK Hardcore and Breakbeat Hardcore producers we are looking for track submissions! Over the last 6 months we have slowed down on the amount of tracks we have been signing as we had a huge backlogue of unreleased material and didnt feel we could have released them as quickly as the producers would like. However, this backlogue is now almost totally cleared and we are now operating on much more efficient timescales. Due to the backlogue in the past, we are wary that people may have started to view us as an unaccessible label that is not accepting demos. This is not the case. We are on the lookout for new music as we look to plan an exciting mp3 schedule and another couple of CD albums within the next 12 months. We have now also gained some fantastic contacts in the hardcore scene to whom we can push your music to. NSR tracks have had DJ support from Sharkey, Kutski, Brisk & Fracus, Entity, Darren Hotchkiss, Thumpa, Jamie Ritmen, DJ Cotts and more! This not only speaks volumes about how far we have come as a label in terms of music quality, but also shows that we still have the same hunger to push underground music as much as we did 2 and a half years ago when we first began.
For those of you that make Electro, Dubstep, House, Bounce etc, NSR's sister label 'Fusion Music' is launching very soon and will follow the same ethos as NSR.
Djs - This Summer will see the very first NSR hardcore event! As of yet I cant reveal too much information, but our first event will be at a club in the North West of England and will be held in conjunction with another hardcore label that has artists that have featured on the Bonkers compilations and DJ'd all over the country! After this event we will be looking to hold events on our own. Of course we will be looking for Djs to play these events and to keep lineups fresh, we want to make more DJ contacts. We dont want out events to be 6 or 8 top tier Djs, we will always stay true to our roots and look to match up the established names with the freshest new Djs in hardcore. We also believe we need to grow our DJ promo list. When we began NSR our promo list was 12 Djs who would receive the new releases, prior to release date, free of charge and they would write us a short review of each track and let us know if they played the tracks out and how they went down and even help us promote the releases on facebook. However, since then a few Djs have have quit Djing hardcore, some we have just lost contact with and some now have very different musical tastes, so that number has dwindled. We need Djs who get regular live bookings and/or have a radio slow (either local FM radio or internet radio).
If you feel that you match any of the above then we want to hear from you. 2011 should be a big year for NSR if Q1 is anything to go by and we believe 2012 will be even bigger. Our monthly website hits have more than doubled since late 2010 and we are now getting regular DJ support from established Djs and receiving better feedback with every release. Its time for us to step onto a larger scale, but to do that we need more people pulling us in the right direction. To contact us, just email us at: [email protected]

as i've already said i'm already building an EP for NSR but this is exciting news!
It's always been a pleasure to deal with craig and NSR in the past. The professionalism is above and beyond any other labels i've encountered. It's encouraging to see what started out as a small label growing and having more of an influence in the scene.
Big up NSR!

If I where younger and better at mixing than what I am I'd have given anything to have put my name forward for the North West event, especially with it being local.

Wow, I wasnt expecting such a response! Thanks guys, theres some hugely kind words been posted that Im flattered by.
To answer a few questions....
The event will be in Bolton in August. Anyone who could make it would be a hero :)
I would love to take NSR to the US and do something over there, but I dont have the money or the contacts to make such things happen :( We would need promoters willing to bring us over. Maybe if we do grow that could be a possibility.
I would also love to have international DJs play at our event, but please remember we are still a small label ;) But any guys who are planning a visit to the UK, let me know and if we have an event during the time you are here, Id gladly consider booking you!

If I was back home I would be all over this event.
How frequently do you plan on holding the events Craig? Well, at least the next NSR one (after the August one). Distance isn't really in issue for me. I actually quite like travelling long distances to raves - gives that special, holiday kind of feeling.

Had a great response so far but keep them coming! Especially the DJs after promos as I will be going through all the promo emails in the next few days and choosing the DJs for the new mailing list.
Jay - Probably about every 3 months if all goes well! If things go very well then maybe even more frequently than that if the club would give us a good deal ;)

its nice to see NSR growing and getting better every year it goes by, theres not 1 person in the hardcore scene that has a single bad word said against this fella and his label... craig is a top bloke and runs his label exceptionally well... i hardly see this as a 'small label' anymore though craig,, i think ya not far off riding high with the big boys now ! hard works paying off.. well done :)

Good on ya Craig. Like I said a long time ago, Straight as a Die and Decent as the day is long.
NSR just keeps getting better.
